Passengers film: In collaboration with Allianz Cultural Institute (Germany) and Chios Festival
In collaboration with Chios Festival and the Αllianz Cultural Centre of Germany Caravan Project and Stratis Vogiatzis
produced a short documentary regarding dementia, and its blurred journey through the eyes and lives of several people
suffering from this disease. The movie attempts in a poetic way to explore the vague landscape of dementia, the boundaries
between memory and oblivion and the ways people suffering from dementia adjust to their environments. The film salvages
and creates meaning out of the ‘unknowable’ experience of profound cognitive loss, examining the narrator’s engagement with the
‘poetry of dementia,’ in the context of ethical arguments around personhood and relational identity in recent dementia studies.
