ΣIn each one of the six towns to be visited, the Caravan Project hosts an artist/researcher whose work is directly connected to important social and environmental issues that concern individual communities from each local society.
These actions are an open discussion between individuals of the local communities (i.e. immigrants, Roma, people with disabilities) and the artist/researcher. This discussion will jointly lead them to creative processes of active engagement. The organic core of these actions is the collective articulation of experiences by communities confined in obscurity, through a creation and enhancement of social dynamics, collective and individual identities.
The first community action of the Caravan Project will take place in November in Mytilene and will concern the lives of the recently arrived immigrants of the island.
