Natzief lives in the village of Organi, in Pomakochoria. He won us over at once with his simplicity and his modesty. Without intending to, we often connect with people who kindly initiate us into their lives, allowing us a fleeting glance to their peculiar world. In places first seen, we suddenly feel at ease with people we just met. There seems to be an unexpected kinship connecting us, as if there was an inner thread merging people’s destinies. Some ephemeral encounters manage to get imprinted deep into our memory thanks to the directness and honesty governing them. Natzief allowed us to film his small farm, to converse with him and to leave, holding tightly a fleeting sense of familiarity.
